Hi, my name is Elizabeth Connelly! I am a secondary education major at the University of New England with a concentration in history. Over the past year, I have had the incredible opportunity to complete my student teaching at Biddeford Middle School, working with sixth-grade students in a reading classroom. This experience deepened my passion for education and strengthened my belief in the power of meaningful student-teacher connections.

I believe that every young person deserves to feel seen, heard, and empowered. My goal as an educator is to help students navigate the challenges of growing up while equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to make a difference in their own lives and communities. I strive to create a supportive classroom environment where curiosity is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and every student feels capable of success.

Outside of the classroom, I love staying active by going to the gym, spending time outdoors, and soaking up the sun whenever I can. I also value time with my family and enjoy making memories with my new nephew. In addition to teaching, I am passionate about being a lifelong learner — whether it’s exploring new ideas, trying new activities, reading, or deepening my professional skills, I believe there is always more to discover. These passions help recharge and inspire me to bring positivity, curiosity, and energy into my classroom every day.

I love spending time in classrooms, and I am eager to continue learning and growing as a teacher. Every experience with students reminds me why I chose this path, and I am excited to inspire, support, and learn alongside my future students.
